« The annual meeting of. the New Zcaianei Hockey Referees' Association was held last evening. The following delegates were present: —Messrs J. Burgess (Canterbury), chairman. G. Ford (West Coast), A. G. Poison (South Canterbury!. G. Hunter (Poverty Bay), H. Hatch (Manawatu), J. "\\ . Sinics (Marlborough), and \Y. Johnson (Hawkc's Hay), hon. secretary. Apologies were received from Me-ssrs "\V. Burley, L. Burley, and F. Freeman. The- rule>s, as submitted by the subcommittee, were read and adopted, and it was decided to forward copies to the various Associations. The annual report and balance-sheet were read and adootenl. The election of" officers resulted as follows:--Patron. Lord Islington: president, the Rev. H. H. Mathias; vicepresidents, Presidents of all the affi-liate-d Associations; management comniitteH?. Messrs W. Burlev, (1. Ford. 11. Hatch; N. Goldsbury. and A. G. Poison; secretary, Mr \V. Johnson; treasurer, Mr "W*. K. Sinies; auditor. Mr R. H. Saunders. Mr Burgess was empowered to bring under the"notice of the New Zealand Hockey Assex-iatiou official recognition of the Association. It was decideel to urge on non-afii-liateel Associations the desirability of supporting the Association, and the .secretary was instructed to write to that effect.
