(PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.; AUCKLAND, April 17. The cricket season was finished yesterday in fine weather, the concluding games of the senior grade championship being played. Tho matches esulted in wins for Parnell, Grafton, and North Shore. Parnell has won the senior grade championship. The results -were as follows:—Parnell r Eden: Parnell first innings 170, second 42 for three wickets; Eden first innings 122 ("W. B. Smith 48. Crnnmings 24); Olliff took five wickets for 45 runs. Parnell won by 48 runs on tho first innings, a two-point win. Grafton v University: Grafton first innings 206; University first innings 151 (A. "Wallace 54. Jncobsen 27); D. Hoy took three -wickets for. 18 runs. Grafton won on the first innings by oo runs. North Shore r Ponsonby: North Shore first innings 133. second innings 98 for threo wiciiets (Howden 56 not out, Ralfe 20 not out); Ponsonby first innings 102 (X: Sneddon 38): Howden took eight wickets for 1.1 runs; Ponsonby second innings 78 for six wickets (Sneddon 22 not out). North Shore won by _3l runs on the first innings, a two-point win.

The Otago Cricket Association has decided to request the delegates to tho New Zealand Cricket Council to favourably consider the request of the Hawke's'Bay Association for a refund of their guarantee for the abandoned match against the Australians, as it considers that a reasonable proportion of the guarantee should be refunded. The Association wound up the season with a credit balance of £165.
