WRECK OF THE PERICLES.
FINDING OF THE ENQUIRY.

The Marine Court of Enquiry into the loss of the steamer Pericles resulted in the following finding:—That proper care and vigilance were exercised in navigating tho steamer; that proper steps were taken to verify her position; that the vessel kept the course stated by the master, which he was justified in considering a safe.and proper one; and that the Pericles struck a submerged uncharted obstruction.
