WEST'S PICTURES.
Ono of the principal features in connection with West's Pictures at the nexv '•.nig s .Theatre, Gloucester street, will be the inclusion of special musical numbers taken from the most popular operas. The orchestra will bo a highclass one, including several musicians leccntly attached to the NTs v Zealand inhibition Orchestra, and the operatic "pd dramatic orchestras of Mr J. C Williamson. The members will include n «--?,.■"* ' Mumfoi "d date conductor J. C. Williamson orchestra), conductor and first violinist; Ernest Jamieson, double bass; J. Reid, drummer and tympani player; G. Sinclair, clarinet; J. Gorrv (-Melbourne Theatre Royal and De Groeii/s Band), cornet; D. Fox, pianist. There will also be several other n.ombers connected with the West's 1 ictures orchestra in Australia. All the arrangements for the opening on Ihursday next are well forward, and the series of pictures will, it is said, bo of a very high standard. The plan of reserved seats opens at the Dresden this morning
