WANGANUI BAND CONTEST.
(press association* telegram.) WANGANUI. March 16. The first test contest took place this evening. For "B" grade bands the result was:—Nelson, 128 -ooints; Wansianui City, 124; Gisborhe City, 119; Cambridge, 118; "W elliwrton Tramways, 117; Waitara, 115; Blenheim, 108; Feilding, 105; Manaia, 102; Opunake, 90. In the first grade contest AVanganui Garrison scored 120 points and Petone 76.
