CONCESSIONS REFUSED

The Canadian House, after a 28 hours' sitting, refused to pass tho St. Lawrence Pcwer Transmission Company's Bill, on the ground that the proposed concession waa calculated to exploit „. the water-power of the river for the benefit of United States speculators.
