MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
LYTTELTON. (Before Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M.) Dennis Sullivan, a well-known character in Lyttelton, was charged with being an idle and disorderly person and having no lawful moans of support. Sergeant Ryan said that the accused seemed to live on the proceeds of carrying liquor to prohibited persons. He was convicted and sentenced to three months' imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended provided he remained in the Samaritan Home for three months. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the case of Triggs and Denton v. J. B. Radcliffe, claim 12s 6d.
