ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES.

The course proper outside the trestles, sand, and lan tracks were al Used. Mi«s Mischief did seven furlongrs o the tan, the last six taking Imin 25se. Duma beat Danube over five furlongs o: the tan in Imin S 2-sth sec. Armlet went i fiiKong less on the same track in 51sec. Tenterhook and Full Sail were en terms at the end of four furlongs on the course proper in 54 4-sth sec. Taskmaster and Sharpshooter did a, couple of rounds on the tan et three-quarter puce. Te Aroha went round on the sand in Imin 59sec, Waimangu beating Santa Rosa over the same distance in lrdin 57sec. Kakama. covered five furlongs on the sand in Imin ssec. .Ngapuka, Scotty ond Tattoo went round on tho tan in Imin 5.1 2-sth Bee. The latter had the best , of it, Scotty being beaten off. Lady Medallist was a dozen lengths in front of Lace Colla ;• over four furlongs on the course proper in 51sec. Roosevelt beat Sir Prize by two lengths, with Compass beaten off in a round on the tan in Imin 56 3-sth sec. First Gun beat Advocate and Elysian once, round on the sand in Imin 59sec. All Eed pleased better than Diabolo around the course proper in 2min ssec. Kangikura and Aberbrnthock started for c round on the tan, but eased up a furlong and a, half from homo. Aberbrothock is very lame, and it is very doubtful if he will be able to etart at the Meeting. Swimming Belt made a Lack of St. Felix over four furlongs on the course proper in 35 3-sth ■, -sec. General Soiilt gave Castle Bleney c good break and beat her comfortably at the end of six furlongs- on the course proper in Imin Iff 4-sth sec. Gipsy Belle covered four furlongs on tho tan in 54sec. She was a bit short, and pu-ling up. Waddell's team, was restricted to light tasks. After breakfast BobrikofT cantered a couple of rounds. War Song and Ambala were on terms at the end of cix turlongs on the course in lmiu 20 l-sth sec. Downfall ran round the course in 2min 1 3-sth see, Dan Lcno going the last five furlongs, but was of nr, use to the Cup horse. The gallop wee the best of the season. Chanteuse went ' around on the tan in Imin 51aec, a good gallop. Taimanupo beat Celtic and Zinnia over four furlongs on the course in 50 3-sth sec. Maheno beat Cambrian over five fur■"longs on the tan in Imin 7seo. A large number of others also worked.
