SHIPPING NOTES.
The White Star liner Athenic is shipping a large quantity of cargo, principally wool, at Lyttelton, and is to sail to-morrow for Wellington, where she will fill up. The vessel will bo a. full «hip when she leaves Wellington on the 30th inst. for London, via way ports. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company s chartered steamer Waitemeta, duo here tomorrow from Nelson, will load c, largo quantity of wool, which is awaiting shipment Icr London. She will leave again on Thursday or Friday for Auckland, to complete loading, and wiil leave that port on. January 7th for London. The New Zealand Shipping Company a steamer Tongariro will sail to-morrow lor Napier and will call at l J ort Chalmers and Tinwru before returning to Lyttelton. She will atterwards go to Wellington to complete 1-oudins, and will sail thence finally on January 13th for London. The Scales Lino steamer Clan Offilvy is due here to-morrow morning from Picton, to complete loading wool for London. The vessel which is now manned by white saiors and firemen, in piece of La.soa.rs, will leave Lyttelton on Thursday or Friday for London. . The Federal-Houlder-Shiro Line steamer Nairnshire, from Liverpool, via. way potts, it duo :it Lytte.ton on Friday. Tho Wcotton leit l'uponga at 2 p.m. yesterday with a load of coal for Lyttelton, and is duo hero late to-night.
