RIFLE SHOOTING.
A match was fired, on the Caehmere range on Anniversary Day, between teams representing the Temiike Rifles and the Christchurch Defence Rifle Club, ten men a side, ranges 200. 500 and 600 yards, seven shots at each distance. The day was a very bright one. but the wir.d was decidedly tricky, and inclined to be of the fishtail variety. The Defence Club won by 99 points. Scores: —Defence Rifle C!ub. — Rifleman R.
