Linwood beat Riccarton by 41 on tho first innings'. -Scores:—Riccarton 80 (Hannah 16, Tisdall 13, Prc&ble 16). fiinwond 126 (England 14, Clothier 13, Burn 53 not out). Ashby, Watts, and McClelland, for Hiccarton, and Carson ani' Barns, for Linwood, bowled well. College batted first against West Christchurch, and scored 121 (Mere-dith-Kaye 58, Manning 33, Carrington 13). O'Kane, with.six wickets (including the hat trick), was the best bowler. West replied with x-i for seven wickets (Thomson 36, Stokes 31, OKane 13. McConnell 18). West won by thiree wickets en the first innings. At Lancaster Park on Saturday afternoon EaE|t Ghristchurch met Boys' High School, and batting first scored 75 (playing five men short). Purse 21, Dale 19, Bryan 15 and Wardl 14 Gurnsey bowled well. Boys' High School*replied with 123 (Russell 24, Burrows 12, Moore 11 and Chambevlain 54) Dale t-ook eight wickets and Winston one. Eust Christchurch in their second innings, 47 (Dale 16, Bryan 21). Boys , High tochool thus won by one run.

OTHER MATCHES. A match was pkyed at Lancaster Park on Anniversary Day between teams from tho head office staffs of the Canterbury Frozen Meat Company and Messrs Bortlnvick end Sons versus the Christehurch Meat Company, the former winning on the first innings by 71 runs. Tho scores were:—C.F.M. Com■panv and Borthwick's 164 (Sellers .50 retired, Armitage 22, Budd 22, R. L. Macbeth 16); C.M.C. Company 93 first innings, and following on 103 in the second (F. T. Boys 50, Reed 20, W. Da we 18, Christie 15). For the winners W. Sellars and A. M. Borthwick trundled excellently, while Williams and Dawe took most of the wiokete for the losers.
