POLLARD OPERA COMPANY.
The Pollard' Ojpara Company, which comes, to us considerably re-organised, and with several new pieces, will open a season at the Theatre Royal on Monday next, Boxing Night The inaugural piece will be one which, is new here. '"The Belle of Cuba," which is spoken of as being both melodious end humorous. It will include tarantelles, ballets, end dances, which have been specially designed' for the piece. Mr A. S. McKay, a new baritone from England, will be seen for the first time here in the production, which is also new to Christchurch playgoers. A speciality, "The .Song of the Mosquito," will be introduced in the second act. One of the' outstanding points of •Mγ Tom Pollard, under whose auspices the jprieoe is produced, is the excellent manner in which he puts the (various pieces on the stage, and it is promised that "The Belle of Cuba" shall be no exception to the iuLe. The plan of reserved seats ie now open at the Dresden.
