PATHE PICTURES.
The new programme of Pathe Pictures submittixl on Saturday night at His Majesty's Theatre attracted a largo audience which found that the liigh standard of excellence which has hitherto characterised the exhibitions at His Majesty's was fully maintained in the films tiiown. Of considerable dramatic interest was the story of gold diggings life depicted in "Ben's liid, , ' a series full ol life and motion and exciting incident. Another excellent film was that showing British Jack Tars at drill. This was a stirring series of pictures, and was received with much applause. Tho dramatic films were of a varied character, and included "A Bunch of Likes,' "Magda," "The Son's Return." 'Ihe humorous pictures were a strong section, and were greatly appreciated. They consisted of films entitled, "An Ideal Servant," "A Will of Her Own, ' "The Wrong Hat," and "A Vagabond's Adventure." Very intepesting were the iconic pictures, including scenes in San Salvador, and a series entitled "Down the Lser on a Timber Raft.' The pictures were exhibited to the accompaniment of appropriate selections by an orchestra conducted by Mr O. Parjiell, and were skilfully operated by Mr Irvine Elston. A cornet solo, "My Pretty Jane, -, was well played by Mr Frank Taylor/ To-night the same programme will be repeated.
