IN CHAMBERS.

The following matters were dealt with in Chambers:— Summonses for discovery were issued —On the motion of M,r Hunter, in the case of the Canterbury Farmero' Co-op. Association (Mr Kinnerney) v. Lindsay ; and on the motion of Mr Harj-ter in tho caso of Vecht and others v. tie Christchurch Meat Company. A motion on petition to lease land in the estate of Thomas Smith (deceased) was supported by Mr Hunter, and an order was made accordingly, subject to tho condition that the estate should bo liable only to pay valuation in respect of buildings now on the land. A motion for letters of administration in the estate of Samuel Kemp (Mr Buchanan) was granted. Motions for probate in the estates of Elizabeth Englefield (Mr Weston), John: Murray (Mr Dougall), John McLean' (Mr Neave), Ann Moonson (Mr Raymond), -uaria .Sophia Pope (Mr Emslie), John Pearce. (Mr Kennedy), were granted. An application by Mr Alpers for a special jury in the case of Jeffries v. Watson (Mr Kinnerney) was granted, and trial fixed for February 2nd, at Timaru. On a summons for interrogatories in the came case, supported by Mr Alpers, an order was made for the answering of certain interrogatories. On the motion, of Mr Hunter, an order was granted annulling- tho bankruptcy of William Fisher Waller. On the application of Mr Alpers, an order was mado for a special jury, ««d the answering of certain interrogatories in the. case W. Jeffries v. J>. Mclnnes (Mr Kinnerney), ond trial yas fixed for February 2nd at Timarti. • } On the application cf Mr Hunter an order was made for the service of summons upon the Public on behalf of the defendants, Martha Graham and William Alberta Schaafcr, in tho case of Andrew Wilson, and Annie Vance Wilson and ethers," in re John Vance, deceased, service on the other defendants being dispensed with in the meantime. An order was made directing service on all defendants in the case Mattingley and another v. Tnlbot and others. On the motion of Mr P.osa, Edmund Arthur Cox was admitted as a solicitor. The sittings of the Court have terminated.
