ANGLICAN GENERAL MISSION.

The Diocesan Committee, which Tias charge of the preparations for tho General Mission, has appointed the Rev. H. E. Ensor secretary, in lieu of the Rev.' TV. TV. Sedgwick, -who has been relieved of the position by the Bishop on account of etress of work. At a meeting held on November 19th, tho committee was informed that the Rev. Canon H. C. Pollock, of Rochester, and tho Rev. R. Kennedy,.vicar of Hpwden, Yorks, will arrive at Wellington about the end of January, and, after conference with members of General Synod, will visit the different dioceses in succession, with the object of holding meetings of clergy and church workers in various centres. It reported by Mr T. D. Harman, as treasurer, that he had received Guarantees towards the expenses of the Mission from several parishes in addition to those received' at Synod; the Committee therefore felt justified in pledging the diocese to the payment of £700 required by the Executive before the end of the present year. Those who have made guarantees are therefore earnestly requested- to forward their amounts to Mr Harman (Hereford street, Christchurch), before the end of . the present month.
