Bobrikoff has been scratched for the Auckland Cup and Railway Handicap, and , Meriwa for all engagements at the Auckland Racing Club Meeting. Nominations for the Kaikoura R.C. and Hurunui T.C. Annual Meetings close this evening.

A final payment for the A&huret Hack Guineas is due this evening. Lady Disdain is suffering from a poisoned leg, and it is doubtful if she will ever race again.

The Oamaru Trotting Club's Summer Meeting, held on Thursday, was not favoured with the best of weather conditions, but still there was a good attendance. Tho principal event of the day, the President's Handicap, of 75 soys, two miles, was won by R. McMillan's Miss Younsley, with Royal Colours second .and Ima D. third. Miss Youngley won by ten lenprths in smin 8 2-ssec. The Hazel Brae Handicap, of 50 soys, two miles, went to C. Willett's Bamboo, with Sunny Boy second and Ima D. third. Time. smin 14sec. Rose Child won the Holly Bank Handicap, of 35 eovs.. one mile, the places being filled by Kins Lynn and Dromedary. Time, 2min 12sec.
