NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
The Little River Sports will he held on Boxing Day. Entries cloee on December 18th. A meeting of the Court Star of Canterbury will be held in the Foresterß* Hall on Monday night; A garden party in aid of the funds for Tβ Wai Pounamu School for Mao;i Girls will be held in " the vicarage grounds, Kaiapoi, next Thursday afternoon. Entries for the athletic events to be decided at the Paparoii and Harewood Amalgamated Districts Sporte close on Monday evening. At the Durham street Cbarch tomorrow evening the Rev. C. H. Garland will preach on the "Universality of Jesus."
