Mr Robert Sernple (president of ihe Now Zealand Miners' Federation) left by the steamer Mapourika last nigSt, en route to Wellington, where a general meeting of the .fclxecutiye of the New Zealand Miners' Federation will be held on Wednesday. It is understood that the Federation will interview the Government and endeavour to come to a satisfactory settlement of the dispute. Pending tne result of this conference the miners' manifesto is withcld.
