During November the sunshine registered on the self-recording instrument at the .office of "The Pr,ess" amounted to 193 hr 9min, a daily average of Ghr 26min 18sec., against a total of 263 hr 43min, and a daily average of Bhr 47min 26sec in November, 1903; and a total of 205 hr smin 3 and a daily average of 6hr oOmin lOsec in November, 1907. The brightest day last month was the 15tb, when the sun shone for lOhr 50min, and there were 4 other days on which more than 10 hours' sunshine was recorded, whereas in November, 1908, tho brightest day contained 13hr 20min of sunshine, and there were altogether 13 days with 10 hours or more of sunshine, while in 1907 the brightest day contained 13hr 30mini of sunshine, and there was nine days with lOhror more of sunshine. Last month there was no whole day without any sunshine, but on two days tho sun was obscured in the forenoon and shone for less than an hour in tho afternoon, and on one other forenoon tnere was also no sunshine. In November of 3ast year there was 1 whole, and 2 half days on which tho sun was obscured. It is of interest to note that November was tho brightest month 6ince last March, when tbe sunshine amounted to ' 16lhr lmin. The total for October of this year was 177 hr 13min.
