RANGIORA.
Tho annual concert given by the Roman Catholic Church was held on Friday evening, and was again , a great success. There was a largo audience, a good programme was provided, and each item was well received. Vocal items were given by Miss E. Smith, Muss A. Chegwin, Messrs J. F. Peake and W. F. Young; a duet by Musses Smith end Chegwin; humorous item by tho Dresden, quartet: an Irish jig by Mr J. J. Ritson; a Highland fling and Scotch reel by Master Borland; instrumental items were given by Mr V. Buchanan (violin), Mr C. Rayfield "mandoline), and Mr W. Coombs (cornet), end an instrumental trio by tho Dresden party. Of the horses travelling the district, the progeny of Mr Mclntosh's Glenzier scored most pointe in tho draught classes at the A. and P. Show. Mr G. S. Hiekman was the largest prizetaker an the pony classes.
