ANGLING NOTES.
In view of the unsatisfactory state of most of the Canterbury fishing
streams, and tho fact that practically the only river that is yet yielding trout in any numbers (the Selwyn, at the mouth) has been made to produce fish in wretchedly poor condition, the question is being seriously considered by anglers whether tho opening of the season should not be delayed at least -until November Ist.
