CONCERT.
At the Knox Lecture Hall last evening a programme of song, recitation*, etc., was given by -Miss Cowan's pupils and members of th© -'Ivlatareka" Concert Party. Of the pupils Mr P. A. Devereau reoeived special recognition, being well supported by Miss F. E. Horsley, in *fl*> "Soul of the Violin." The latter also played two violin solos, and took part in a vocal duet with Mr D. Maindonald, each of the three items being accompanied By Miss Ada Luxton, A.T.C.L. Mr A. Si Callaway's "Laughing Song" received a vociferous encore, as did Mr G. 7 L. Stewart's '-Elocution Class." Miss Cowan responded to an encore for "StagO fitruol-- with "Cn_d_e Boon." On the motion, of Dr. Erwin eibe was tendered a hearty vote of thiiniks for her kindness in arranging the entertainment.
