SHIPPING NOTES.
The Storm, bound from Wanganui to Dunedin, passed the Heads at 1.30 p.m. yes••/■idoy. After loading about 27,000 sacks of grain and a quantity of frozen meat, wool, and a general cargo, the Tyser Line steamer Star of Scotland sailed early yesterday morning for Wellington, Napier, Gisborne, and Wangauui, to complete loading. The Star of Scotland will return to Wellington later on for bunker coal, and will feave that port finaly on July 4th for London, via Cape Horn and Las Palmas.
The Shaw, Savill and Albion White Star liner lonic left Wellington yesterday afternoon, and is due here «ar!y this morning to discharge the balance of her cargo from London. The vessel has 1600 tons of cargo to land here, and will load a large quantity of frozen meat and general produce for London. The big steamer will leave on Saturday for the Bluff, and is due back here on July Bth, to load more cargo. The lonic will go to Wellington to fill up, and will sail thence finally for London on July 15th. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's steamer Matatua arrived yesterday afternoon from Timacu. The vessel is to load about 10,000 carcases of mutton and a quantity of goneral cargo here for London, and is to sail to-morrow for Wellington. Gieborne, and Auckland to complete loading. The Matatua will sail finally from Auckland for London via Monte Video about the end of the month. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Wakanui is to sail to-day or to-mor-row for Timaru to continue loading. The vessel will return hero ia a few dnys' time, SS d e w *Jlr after *«rd« c»H at Port Chalmers, Bluff, Waataro. and Wellington to complete loading. The Wakanui is to sail finally from Wellington about July Bth for London. Mr Thorpe, formerly third ofHcer of the Moorabool, is now second ofßcer, us Mr Logan, leto second officer, has transferred to the Barwon. Mr Norrie, lato third of the Barwon, has joined the Moorabool in a similar capacity. , The Huddart-Parker collier Moorabool, which t arrived at Wellington on Thursday £? ai sm NM^! etle ' hz ™« ht *<*"> tone of coel for Mr Thos. Brown. The vessel will arrive h«re to-morrow, and will afterwards go to Timaru and Duncdin to complete discharging. It is understood (cays the "Post") that the Uuoo will be transtormed into a fishing vessel about tho end of the preeent month. Her owners (the Wellington Harbour * ernes, Ltd.) intend to employ her in the neighbourhood of Fitzroy Bay, Chatham Islands, making return tript io Wellington. Accommodation is being installod in the forecastle for a crew. ' ' .
