EMPIRE DAY.
The Mayor lias received a letter from tlie Hon. D. Buddo, in which the Minister states that owing to. his having made arrangemente to visit some of the outlying portions of the Auckland district with regard to matters affecting local bodies, he will be unable to be present on Empire Day At the celebration in Victoria square. Mr Buddo las Teferred to the Premier the request that some member of the Government should be present.
