Threshing out of stack is now being carried. on, and samples are considerably bettetr quality than what have been sold so far, both as regards condition and especially as regards the colour of tho grain. No purohases for shipment havo as yet be.en made, as the rate of freight a-t present asked is prohdhitive, but should the London market further advance and cheaper freights bo obtainable, there is no doubt merchants will com© into the market and assist in keeping prices up generally. Recent quotations are: —Pearl and Velvet 3s 8d to 3s BJd, Tuscan 3s 7Jd. Hunters 3s 6id to 3s 7d. Whole fowl wheat is bringing from 3s to 3s 3d, according to quality. Oats —There has been a considerable falling off in offerings of all descriptions. Those farmers who have placed their crop in stack aro not willing to thresh at present prices, stating, that it will pay them better to feed stock during th© winter months. Ther© has been no alteration in prices, which range as follow: —Heavy Gr_rto_s, ls 4d "B" grade Is 3d to Is 3id, Duns Is 2id, Danish ls l_d to ls 2d.
