IN QUARANTINE.
♦- THE CORINTHIC'S PASSENGERS. (PKESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, March 19. Some passengers by tlie Corinthic, due here on Monday afternoon, will spend probably from three to four weeka ou Somes Island in quarantine. There ore 22 cases of measles and five cases of scarlet fever on board. So far as ia at present arranged, tho Health Department will endeavour to make provision on shore for the measles, oases, and- tho scarlet f_v«_- cases will go into - tho Hospital. In the case of those who havo come into contact with the persons suffering from tho diseases named, they will certainly spend* some time on Somes Island, and if the steps now being taken to accommodate the measle. oases on sliore are not completed, they wili go to Somes Island also. There m plenty of room on the island, accommodation being available for over 300 persons. Erierniriejs at the Health De- 1 partment show that there* is no reasoni for publio alarm. The usual strict, measures will bo taken in regard' to - eegregation of cases, and the workingof the ship will not be interfered' *•*-£__:
