HOCKEY. —: ♦ The annual general mpeting of the Huia Ladies' Hockey Club was held in the Y.W.C.A. rooms on Wednesday ■evening- There- "was an attendance of eighteen members. The following officers were elected:—President, Sirs George Payling; vice-presidente, Rev. R. S. Gray and Mr R. C. Bishop; club captain, Miss I. Norrie; secretary, Miss V. Holmes; committee, Misses A. iSean, M. Buchanan, L. Aitohison, C. Norrio and M. Ritchie. It was aecided to enter a team in both the senior and the junior competitions, and to open the season to-morrow. Fifteen now members -were elected. A match played yesterday between teams representing Victoria and Avon girls ended in a draw, the teams scoring two coals each. Mr Frank 31cCullough was referee.
