Tailow Sales —There wore 787 casks offered, and o3G ca.sks sold. Mutton, fine, brought 33s 3d. medium 30c>. Beef, fine 325, medium 29s 9d. MELBOURNE HIDES MARKET. MELBOURNE, March 18. Hides— Heavier are firm. Light sorts id iiiwer. , Mtssrs Dalyety and Co. have' received the following cablo from their London office, dated 17th March: — "The wool sales continue firm, and prices are rather higher, especially for scoured merino wools and lino quality of crossbred wools. Tho remaining dates of our own sales aro alt-ered to 24th March. Since our last wire prices of tallow in general are 6d lower." (press association telegrams.) NAPIER, March 18. - The C.C. and D.
