TJjENDING a later announcement, the X Board has decided to at once extend to tho Colonies the Examinations for Teachers' Diplomas as held in the United Kingdom, and to allow candidates the option of examination under such Syllabus Ca. during the present y-eax, 1900. The- examination of every candidate under Syllabus Ca. will include a Paper on Musical Rudiments (including Elem-entary Harmony), and a Paper on thie Art of Teaching as applied to Music. The paper-work examination will take place at all centres in July, and t.h-c entries of all candidates intending- to sit in July, 1909. must be received by the Local Secretary for the Centre not later than APRIL 20th. As the notice for the paper-work examinations in July is necessarily short. Branch B Candidates may enter for and take the practical work under Syllabus Ca. this year, ajid postpone their paper-work until July, 1910.
