ROAD BOARDS.
RAKAIA. The last meeting of the Rakaia Road Board was ,-ittended by all the members. Throe months' leave of absence was granted to Mr Baker, from March Ist, on full pay, on account of eerious illness, the leave to ba extended if necessary. The chairman's action in appointing Mr W. J. Percy as actingclerk and rat© collector was approved, and it was decided to vote. Mr Percy the sum of £5 for services since Mr Baker's absence from duty. It was decided to accept the offer of the Lake Coleridge Road Board for Mr Percy fei devote half time for duty to the Rakaia Road Board, and that a letter of thanks be sent to the Lake Coleridge Road Board, accepting the offer. The clerk was instructed to iesue summonses for all unpaid rates after March 9th.
