TEMUKA MARKET.
The fortnightly sale at the Temuka yards was held on Tuesday afternoon, there being a full yarding of all kinds of stock, which sold at slight advances on late prices. The following are the prices:—Sheep, 3700 yarded—Fat ewes lis 9d to 14s Id, fat lambs 13s 2d to 13s 9d_ fat wethers 13s 6d to 15s, four and six-tooth ewes 16s 9d to 17s, fullmouthed ewes 8s and 9s, failing ewes 7s 4d and Bs, store lambs 9s 6d to 10s 7d. Cattlo, about 70 were yarded, tho following being the sales: — Fat steers, £7 10s to £8; fat heifers, £6 5s to £7 ss; fat cows, £5 to £5 12s 6d; cows in profit, good sorts, £4 15s to £6; two-year-old steers and heifers, £2 15s to £3 os; three-year-old. £4 c* to £4 15s; yearlings, £1 to £l os. Pigs —About 50 were yarded. Baconers £2 12s 6d to £3 2s, porkers £1 7s 6d to £1 15s, strong stores £1 5s to £1 7s, stores 18s to 20s, slips 10s and 12s 6d.
