Tho Board of Trinity College ot Music. London, has decided to extend to tho colonies tbe examinations tor teachers' diplomas (syllabus Ca) as held in the United Kingdom, and to allow candidates thc option of examination under such syllabus during the present year (1909). The examination of every candidate will include a paper on musical rudiments (including-i elementary harmony) and a paper on the art of teaching as applied to music. The paper work will take place in July, and candidates may enter for the practical work under syllabus Ca this yrtir and postpone their paper work until July, 1910. By these regulations the colonial examinations will be made identical with those hold in the United Kingdom.
