■ Information received in this city *ith regard to' Mr Robert Alexander, who was recently appointed director of Canterbury (Lincoln) Agricultural College, is to the t fleet tliat Air Alexander hails from Londonderry, North of Ire{*ikl, and spent about twerntv years on &* father's farm. Ho obtained his Oiptomarf at the Rural College of ecientv, Dublin, and afterwards, for wo years, was lecturer in agriculture u» Londonderry. His next appointment was as lecturer on agriculture at the Albert College., Glasntvin. Dublin, where he also had charue of the. farm attached to the college..
