Considerable interest is being evinced in the Wanganui Jockey Club's Autumn Meeting, which starts to-day, and the fixture has attracted a large number of Canterbury sportsmen. Thirteen horses arc likely to face the starter in the Wanganui Cup, including Downfall, Ana. Master Delaval, TanKimoana, Blue. Ribbon and All Rod, the last-named of whom will be making his final appearance before leaving for India. On Saturday the leading attraction will be the Jackson Stakes.
A fow days prior to the commencement of the V.R.C. Autumn Mooting Scotland showed signs of breaking doivn. and had to bo cased in his work.
