CHEVIOT STOCK SALE.
There was a large entry at the Cheviot yards yesterday, and though business was done with almost every line prices showed a decided decline. The entries totalled over 5000, half of 1 which came from tho Kaikoura and Hundalee districts. Prices realised ■ were as follow :-—isound-mouthcd ewes ; 13s 3d. lambs 7s 9d, lis 7d; fat ewes ! lis, ewe lambs - 12s 9d, two, four and | six-tooth wethers lis 8d ; forward lambs 12s -Id, Ds Id, lis lOd; half bred wether lambs 10s 6d, ewes 14s 9d, 17s Id; fat I wethers 13s 2d, springer heifers £,b.,
