COLLISION AT SEA.
WHITE STAR LINER SUNK.
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, January 24. The White Star liner Republic collided with an unknown vessel in a dense fog off Nantucket, and sank. All aboard were saved. There were 250 finst-closs passengers, 211 steerage passengers, and 300 crew aboard tho Republic, which was starting on a winter excursion to tho Mediterranean. The cargo included 500 tons of supplies for the American Fleet, to replace the goods sent to Messina.
