THE ELECTOR'S FIRST DUTY.
Seeing that tho General Election, with tho accompanying licensing poll, is now definitely fixed for Tuesday, November 17th, those who havo not already satisfied themselves that their names aro on the electoral roll should lose no time in doing so. The writs will bo issued in a few days, and when that has been done no further claims for enrolment will bo received A copy of tho rolls can bo inspected at tho Post Offices or at the Registrar's office, and anyone who is qualified who finds that his or her nam© has not been inserted should send in a claim for enrolmont at once. It usually happens that a large number of persons on going to the polling booth on election day find that they are disfranchised because their names are not on the official roll. A littlo trouble taken now might, therefore, bo tho means of preventing a good deal of chagrin later on.
