Andrews and Edmonds - were tho most successful bowlers.' East thus won by 5 runs. In the Linwood and Sydenham match, the former batted srst, and compiled 23, Mansell (10 not out) b?irg tho only player to reach double figures. STdenham replied with 72 (Champmess 29, Fryer 18 not out, and Smith 10). Frvor (five wickets for 8) and Hutching (four for 11) bowled best for Sydenham, who Avon by 49 runs. Riccarton batted first against St. Albans, and .compiled 51 (Prebble 12 , and Karma 10).. St. Albnrs replied with 71 (Sherwocd 21. Brunton 20). , Ashby bowled best for Riccarton, and on {join? in aznin, th*e lattr?r mado 109 for three .wickets (Iks 37, Sale*s 35, and ■ Ashby 15). St. Albans won by 20 ', runs.
