MoAfurray captured 8 wickets for 11 runs for Sydenham. At Lancaster Park, Linwood, with 10 for tho loss of ono wicket, resumed batting againr.t Bast Christchurch (who had scored 187). and made 162. Bullock (34) was tho chief ©corer. Simmons, Earknees, and Hart were tlio most successful with the ball. Tho Easterners thus won by 25 runs on tho first innings.
