Tfoo following is the market report for the past week:—Wheat—Some little excitement was caused by .cablegrams from America at the dose of last week and a good enquiry was received for all classes of milling wheat, and some fairly extensive sales were made, presumably sufficient to keep millers present wants supplied , , as enquiry coon j fell off and there is again little demand. The highest price reported was 4s Id on trucks, sacks extra, which was paid for several lines of prime milling of mixed descriptions, but it is doubtful whether the same price could now be obtained, values practically being ■is Id for Tuscan and Pearl, 4s for Hunters Good whole fowl wheat is again scarce, 3s lOd to 3s lid being, paid for good quality. Oats —There has been slightly better demand, and several sains are reported l , Anit prices are, if anything, lower, fair fulling Gortons sailing at from Is 9d to Is iOd., good short food ,. Is Bd, Danish Is 6d to Is 7d. Oatsheaf chaff—Shipments have been large during the week and the available surplus -is rapidly being sold. At the Leeston horse parade, hold at Leoston- on tho 25th mst., Mr F. Amor's King Tracoy looked one of tho best sires in the trotting class, and should suit both farmers and breeders of trotting horses or harness houses. He is a rich bay horse, standing 16 hands, with plenty of eubstanco. and as far as breeding goes the Childo Harold and General Traeey sires have Been the most successful in the colonies, either as roadsters or track horses. At an extraordinary meeting of the Wellington Athletic Park Company today it was resolved to wind up the company voluntarily. The Wellington Rugby,' Union is to take over the company's lease and all its assets, except books of accounts. Tho lease is for 63 years, in terms of 21 years each, the first of which has nearly expired. The paid-up capital of the company is stated in the last balance-sheet at £2337.
