At tho Kaiapoi Court yesterday Wm. O'Connell acunitted .committing a breach of the peace on {September l2th, and was fined 10s. A first offender who had been inebriated and locked up was convicted and discharged. Messrs C. Hansen, J.P., and J. H. Blackwoll, Mayor, wore on the bench. (PRESS . aSOCIATION TZUSORAV4.) WELLINGTON, September 21. John Dunlop, a steward on tho Monowai, was to-day remanded to appear at Lyttelton on the 80th inst., on a charge of using obscene language on tho Lyttelton wharf on Saturday. The police stated that accused would be further charged with assaulting the police. Chow Sheo, a Chinaman, was to-day fined £25 for having opium in his possession.
