GODLET HEAD FOG SIGNAL.
Notification is given in last -reek's "Cazwi'te" that on and after Monday, sth October. 1908, the following fog signals will be rounded from a position in a, ledgp «f rocks ah-nit 60ft above pea-level, half a cable i south of Godloy Head lighthouse. The sisals consist of explosions of cotton powdeT charges at intervals of five minutes, and will be made whs-n the lano* is likely to be obsouTod at a distaiwe of about three miles from ee&warc? by either fog, mist, falling grow, or continuous rain. It is anticipated that those sound sigwils will be heard at ary distance under •4-to mile*, varying according to the state of the arm-sphere and the force eaid direction of tbe wind.
