EGG-LAYING COMPETITIONS.
The report for the week ending July 3rd in connection with the New Zealand Utility Poultry Clubs Fourth Egg-laying Competition at Lincoln College, show that 894 eggs were laid during the week, making tho total to date 7909. Tho best layings for the week wero:—New Zealand Poultry Journal Institute, White Leghorns, 33; A. Padman. White Leghorns. 31; W. F. Hodson. Brown Leghorns, 29; Miss E. field, Black Orpingtons, 29; W. T. Burbury, White Leghorns, 28; G. H. Robinson. White Leghorns, 27; R. E. M. Evans, Silver Wyandottes, 27. The best totals to date are:—T. Kennedy, Silver Wyandottes, 363; N.Z. Poultry Journal Institute. White Leghorns, 300; A. Badraan, White Leghorns, 302; Drury and Rose, White Leghorns, 283; Allan Petrie White Leghorns, 270; R. W. Hawke. White Leghorns. 262; W. A. Nixon, White Leghorns, 26j.
