SATURDAY'S GAMES.
The various matches under the auspices of the Canterbury Hockey Association were continued on Saturday in fine weather. The games were confined to the Polo Ground a A Sydenham Park. All the grounds wore in a very muddy condition. Chief interest centred in the match between the Challenge Team (A) and a picked eleven (B). Contrary to expectations, the B team ran all over the A's, who were playing a substitute three-quarter. The final score was:—B team, 3 goals, shot by Rankin (2) and Chappell; A team, 1 goal, shot by H. Jacobs. Mr H. Hatch was referee.
