A rehearsal of the choTus •will take place this evening at the Durham street Schoolroom, at eight o'clock. Miss Eleanor Smith will give an organ recital to-night at St. Albans Methodist church. Mr Hammill will sing "Rolling in Foaming Billows," from "The Creation." His Lordship Bishop Grimes will open and consecrate the new Catholic Church at Springfield on Sunday next, at 11 a.m. Tho annual meeting of the ex-members of No. 1 Company

Mr J. Drummond will give a lecture on "The Birds of New Zealand," at the Knox Church Social Hall to-night, at 7.45.
