RANGIORA.
The weekly meeting of tiie Literary and Debotfng Society -was lu'ld on Tuesday evening. The evening was occu-pieel by a lecture on "British Guiajua," given by Mr Murdoch, senr., who described tho working of the sugar and cotton plantations, and related some very interesting incidents of life amongst the natives.
