There is no alteration iv other lines, potatoes and chaff, remaining at late quotations. Cowgraes is now offering fairly freely, and the sample is good, -while the yield, notwithstanding tho dry seafson, is saul to be above tho average. Sales liavo been mado at 9d to 9Jd. A few samples, mostly light, of whito clover, havo been submitted, but little business has been done. Our Invercargill correspondent writes that, consequent upon tho holidays last wac'k, tjw> arrivals of oats from tho country were light, but the previous week 52,000 sacks canio'to hand by rail. It i 3 a noticeable feature tliie .season that there are tew instances or rejection, almost all the lots coming forward being fully up to sample. The quotation is nominally 2s at stations tor 13 grade, sacks extra, and Id and 2d moro for largo and choice lines for shipment. Wlhen 2s 2d is paid, it is generally for special linos of Gartons, or mixtd Gartons aaid Spnirowbille. The cnaff coming forward is of excellent quality, and is selling at £3 10s at stations.
