BURGLARY AT REDCLIFFS
VALUABLE JEWELLERY STOLEN. An impudent and at the same time »u(!trHSslul burglary took place at Redcliffs early yesterday afternoon, whon tho residence of Mrs Best wafc entered, ar.d articles of jewellery and ornaments to i..ie value of £100 stolen. Tho crime seems to' have been comnnitr.c<\ by one familiar with Mrs B-iwt's movements, for it was while tho lady was away taking her customary walk that entrance to her lioueo was effected, and the goods abstracted. The matter was promptly reported to the constable at Sunnier, and diligreit enquiries wore made, but up to last night without result.
