At tho meeting at Woolston, Mr W. R. Smith presided, and there was a fair attendance.

In the report the incoming committee was recommeuded to consider tho advisability of approaching tho Board to ascertain if they.would be prepared to erect a new wing to tho school, and sink a deep well, as both accommodation and water wero at present deficient. The report was adopted. The following were elected members of the committee:—Messrs W. R* Smith. J. Cleworth, Crawford, W. T. Thomas, J. Scott, It. O. Douglass, and C. W. White, and .'Mesdames Wicks and Woods. '-'.•'

Mr Cleworth moved that it be a strong recommendation to the incoming committee to urgo on the Board of Education the absolute necessity of erecting a new wing in place of'the two old buildings behind the school. The motion was carried.

It was decided to recommend the Woolston Council to acquire a suitable area of land for recreation purposes for the young people of. the borough. It was resolved to write to the Education Board, asking them :to instal tho single desk in new schools and schools to which additions wero made

The action of the Education Board in regard to fire drill was approved of. and/it was decided to inform tho Boaird that in tho opinion of householders outer doors of. schools should he made to open outwards, and dividing cocrs should be made to swing both ways. On the motion, of the Chairman, it was resolved to protest against teifhercv' salaries being based on the average attendance.
