No unautliorised person is allowed: on board.. There has already been some pilfering of small but valuable articles. (SPKCIAI. TO " THE PRESS.") ' ( DUNEDIN, April 27. The Union Steam -Ship jCompany are making strenuous efforts to refloat their steamer Taviuni, -which is stranded near West-port. Given, a. continuation of the present fine weajther conditions, the Taviuni has a good chance of getting back'to her proper place. Preparations are being made to lighten her, and \he cargo in her aftorhold wdi be withdrawn, to-morrow. However, if bad weather sets in the task or refloating her will bo <a verx difficult one.
